EIZO Using NextWindow Touch Screens in Multitouch FlexScan Monitors

(NASDAQ: SMA) (TSX: SMT), announces that Japanese manufacturer, Eizo Nanao Corporation (EIZO), is using the NextWindow 1900 Desktop Touch in itsnew multitouch FlexScan computer monitors. The 23" (58.4 cm) FlexScan T2351W and 17" (43.2 cm) FlexScan T1751 monitors provide a unique tilt function offering six settings from 15 degrees to 65 degrees from a horizontal position. The tilt capability enables users, whether seated or standing, to rest their palms and forearms on the monitor bezel to interact comfortably with the multitouch display. With superb image quality, durability and ergonomic design, the FlexScan T2351W and FlexScan T1751 are ideal for use in a number of environments, including health facilities, schools, universities, libraries, kiosks, entertainment centers, offices and homes. The multitouch monitors can be used to display information, input data, read documents and e-books, edit digital photos and to play games. Both the FlexScan T2351 and FlexScan T1751 are now available throughout the United States.

Rock Wall Solo displays enhance music lovers’ experiences in Seattle, Dallas, Detroit and Berlin

Pleasanton, CA – April 12, 2011 – NextWindow, a subsidiary of SMART Technologies, announces that Hard Rock Cafe International, which is owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, has deployed NextWindow 2150 touch screens at restaurants in Seattle, Washington; Dallas, Texas; Detroit, Michigan; and Berlin, Germany. The multitouch displays are attached to 52" (132.1 cm) NEC monitors implemented by NextWindow integrator Horizon Display. The multitouch-enabled monitors, called the Rock WallTM Solo, enable customers to zoom in and experience rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia by, for example, reading the manufacturer markings on John Lennon’s glasses. All company owned Hard Rock Cafes will have at least one Rock Wall Solo by the end of this year, and touch screens installed in 2011 will be attached to 55” Samsung monitors.

NextWindow Touch Screens in New All-in-One PCs from Samsung

The Samsung DM-U300 and the DM-U350 come with 20" (50.8 cm) and 23" (58.4 cm) NextWindow 1900 De sktop T ouch display touch screens, re spectively. Both AiO computers feature a simple and modern design, and are available in Korea from Samsung resellers. NextWindow has been selling to Korean electronics manufacturers since 2005, and opened an office in Seoul, South Korea, earlier this year.
