EIZO is using the NextWindow 1900 Desktop Touch in its new tilt-able FlexScan
computer monitors. Users can interact with the 1900 series while wearing gloves,
as in medical environments. It also provides traditional touch functions such
as point, click, drag and drop, as well as multitouch functions like pan, pinch,
double-tap and scroll.

Currently, several Hard Rock Cafe locations, including Seattle, Dallas, Detroit and Berlin, have interactive RockWall Solo displays installed, to showcase thousands of Hard Rock memorabilia items to customers. The touch technology behind the display is the NextWindow 2150 touch screen, which sits on top of a 52-inch NEC monitor (integrated by Horizon Display. So far, the displays have been extremely popular with Hard Rock Cafe visitors.
Microsoft Technology Centers Use Touch to Teach (CIO.com)
Microsoft's Chicago tech center is using giant touch screens to inform customers on SharePoint and other Microsoft products. The display uses NextWindow technology and was built and installed by Illinois-based design firm Ravenswood Studio.

Microsoft has already deployed one of the screens at its Technology Center in Chicago. The company says it will use the jumbo display to demonstrate Microsoft multi-touch capabilities and show customers how they could use the technology in their own workplaces.

Graybeards Doesn't Know Much About Whiteboards (WSJ)
Smart says most interactive whiteboard revenue has traditionally been from the education market, but the company believes “additional attractive opportunities exist in the business and government markets.” The company bought New Zealand-based NextWindow in April, paying $82 million in cash. The deal is expected to help the whiteboard business, but Smart said “we also expect that NextWindow’s existing relationships with leading PC display manufacturers and other electronics equipment manufacturers will accelerate our ability to expand into the market for interactive touch products other than interactive whiteboards.”
