NextWindow Software

NextWindow USB products do not require special software; the touch screen communicates directly with the computer’s operating system via the USB interface, just like a USB mouse. However, an optional USB Configuration program that allows you to change various default settings is available in the Touch+ software suite. Touch+ also provides a driver and configuration program for serial applications (a serial interface is available in the 2403 Touch Panel Overlay and certain specialised products).

NextWindow Touch+ Version 2.9

NextWindow Touch+ software suite Version 2.9 is currently supported on Windows XP and Windows 2000.

(Note: The Touch+ software is not supported on Apple Macintosh computers. However, if required, the touch screen settings can be changed using a PC before connecting the Apple Macintosh.)

The Touch+ software can be used with the following NextWindow products:

Click on the following link to download the installation program for the Touch+ software suite.

Save the file to your hard disk and then double click on it to start the installation wizard.

Once installed, Touch+ programs are available from the Start / Programs / NextWindow Touch+ menu (MS Windows).

Touch+ Programs

The following programs are included in Touch+

	Program Name	Purpose
	USBConfig	Allows you to view the default USB operating parameters, such as double-click time. For further information, see USB Diagnostics.
	SerialRuntime	(For 2700 and certain specialised products.) Provides a Windows driver for the touch screen.
	SerialConfig	(For 2700 and certain specialised products.) Allows you to configure the serial driver and to calibrate the touch screen For further information, see NextWindow Serial Driver and Configuration.
	PanelRuntime	Runs the off screen touch panel
	PanelDesigner	Allows you to design an off-screen touch panel

NextWindow Touch API

NextWindow's touch Application Program Interface (API) provides programmers with access to touch data generated by a NextWindow touch screen. It also provides derived touch information. The API is in the form of a DLL that provides useful functions for application developers.
